This evening, I am offering a well formulated opinion on the Social Policy Institute report on activity in Demarcia (you can view it here), starting off with immediately critisizing all points of Demarcia.

The first point to be made is about declining citizens, and trying to improve this.

1. We all know that Demarcia is declining in numbers, It has to do with Habboon, but also with how Demarcia is created. I constantly see the same cycle: People join, people get excited for the Community, and yet, after a week, they disappear. How come?

There is no direct line and structure in Demarcia. You get thrown into a big hole of information about this so called community. Not only that. People have to navigate through a site which Is like a maze to newcomers. Even I, the one that has been here in Demarcia for 1.5 years is still lost sometimes.

This who community is not Newcomer friendly, which caused people to immediately run away after pushing 4 group badges and the login of a site in their face. It's because of the charisma and the dedication of both Penstubal and Miron that Demarcia is still standing.

But I doubt you could call it standing, and rather more the state of a vegetable. Demarcia's government seems to reject conservatism, but nothing seems to have changed in user engagement and enrollment throughout the time.

Innovations is oftenly needed in order to grow and improve Demarcia. Yes, we have a lovely innovation like the inquirer, and new parties, but that doesn't weigh in heavily. New persons demand rules, some form of line or introduction. To know what they can do and can't.

You're told that one can do everything, but if one places down their ideas for improvent, such as Roleplay Activities, a bus station, train station, or other actions, It gets frown upon. You create a façade of free thought, while the latter sometimes happens. This, is an unspoken thing that also weighs in the manner of users not being that active.

Of course, it's great to have a fully organized site, and I encourage it. But for a newcomer it might seem that there is no difference between the site and the Wiki. Just have a bit of a walkthrough for people, I think that clarification on things would be the best thing to start with, before going into details.

1.2. We had someone that wanted to activate a justice system in Demarcia. Someone who was online everyday, and seemed like a notable member for demarcia, in order to help us into gaining more activity. But yet, it seems that it is hard for Demarcia to give away control and power to people that are willing to build upon it, and improve it.

How can one contribute if they are not given the tools? It shouldn't be a good thing that it takes 2 months before you're properly set in demarcia. That says something about the land itself.

Before I was saying that there was a lack of people wanting to participate.. Was there a poll on who wanted to participate in the justice system? I don't think I can remember that anything has been done with the justice system, rather than Dehart threatening me.

If I'm wrong about it, then say it, since my point written under will be completely obliberated. We could have asked our community, of people wanted to participate. Perhaps we need to pull more on the ropes of the people that are actually ther, to activate them out of their slumber to doing what they are interested in.

2. Yet, this report talks about the lack of users in Habboon, but every single time an event is hosted, we get at least one member. (But hey, they disappear. Why so? Read number 1 again.)

Demarcia has a lot of good points, but also a lot of flaws. The community and the whole state how it is build has potential, but it is not managed properly. We should have more than one person to stay outside of Demarcia, while yet giving the help hand, and giving the basic tips and support for those that have just diven into the place.

If people actually did something at least once a week, it would have an actual effect, considering people eat up the basic "land, school, politics, police, justice" shit.

Instead of being frustrated for the lack of participation, try to search for solutions. Perhaps you can hold polls, where you ask persons on which date they're all available, to have maximum available users, and thus, maximum enjoyment of the event. This is yet, again, in ties with communication and community management.

3. Just the distribution of information. We have A WHOLE WEBSITE. It's filled with "Haha sexy booba honka donka" shit. Lovely, amazing, I enjoy.

But can't there be a navigation for those that do wish to participate in politics, without having to read the entire library of Demarcia History to be able to manage at least one debate? The only reason why I'm afraid to do a debate is because older users will pull out the Demarcia Bible out of their ass, saying information that I would never be able to find, only to realize it's probably shoved away in either the Discord messages, or in the Demarcia.ga booba messages.

Give us a summary, a proper timeline. What is DNP? SDP? GREEN PARTY? Tell me shortly what the most important persons are, and what they have done. Then one will finally be able to take a dive into the deep lore whatever Demarcia truly has.

It would only improve the user activity in Demarcia if people can participate while knowing whats going on. To save everyone from tired eyes, the same defense could be used as in point 1. No need to write sentences in different wordings which is practically the same.

4. There are a plethora of other words I can use, but I can simply summarize it. Hold the hand of your new users, give some bottom floor with an introduction and rules, let someone neutral help with average moderation, try to view Demarcia as an outsider, don't be afraid to try new things out, if those new things fail you can delete them anyway. Give proper information distribution, with proper user engagement and watch this glorious nation with a lot of potential blossom into the success that it should be.

Peace.

Leader of the Demarcian National Party.
