Penstubal: Time for a New Dawn, for a New Demarcia

At long last: Demarcia will finally, once again, have a new government.

With myself at the front.

For the first time in what feels like ages, Demarcia will have a return to normalcy, a return to stability, a return to progress. The wheel of Demarcia turns once more.

The time has finally come, to enact sweeping changes to our country, to rejuvenate our politics, to restore Demarcia's old glory.

It is time for a new dawn, for a new Demarcia.

Firstly, I would like to thank President Brandin for appointing me as his Prime Minister. It is truly an honour to be in this position once more - my last premiership was from May 2019 until the abolition of the office in August 2019.

I look forward to working with the President in a constructive manner to resolve the many issues plaguing our country - above all, the inactivity problem, which politicians have always talked about for years and years, but have taken absolutely zero action to resolve.

It is time for competent people to come in charge and to lead Demarcia in a better direction.

I believe that, the government we are forming, the talents we are bringing in, the ideas we are about to exchange, will truly lead to the restoration of Demarcia's former glory - and usher in a new Demarcian golden age.

The new government will begin as a coalition between my Action 2022, the Social Democratic Party and the Green Party, as planned before the election.

However, owing to my decision to vacate the leadership of Action 2022, should there be no candidate who wishes to take the helm of the party, I shall dissolve the party and return back to actively being involved in the Social Democratic Party's politics.

I am inviting any person who wishes to join Demarcian politics and to showcase their talents to take hold of the leadership of Action 2022 and help build a new, modern Demarcia.

Meanwhile, as for the country, a lot has to be done - and a lot of reforms will take place over the course of the term.

I believe it is about time to listen to the concerns of MikeBodwin, a highly esteemed Demarcian statesman, with regards to the military. We can not help neglect our military any longer in an era where Putin feels he can randomly waltz into sovereign states at any time he likes.

I believe we have to introduce tougher action on climate change and to strengthen the already existing provisions of the Environmental Protection Act.

It is time to build new places in our country. More public squares, more gathering places, restaurants, cafes, a national museum, which had been promised by the Social Democrats ages ago, but the idea had never come to fruition.

We need to make Demarcia great again, as it was before. I fondly remember such joyful times as the March to June 2020 period - the heyday of Bold Ideas, Real Change, which ushered in a New Demarcia.

Under my social democratic administration, we transformed Demarcia for the better and made sure that the politics and the economy serves all of us and not just a privileged few.

We implemented all sorts of broad reforms that fundamentally changed every single aspect of our country. We implemented the Labour Act, which enshrined in law trade unions and secured their right to organise. We guaranteed all workers a minimum wage, safe working conditions, freedom from discrimination at work, and more.

We transformed our education system during Vincent_Wolff's social democratic administration - something she really wants you to forget about. We ensured that all children have free school meals and can have the best quality lessons they deserve.

We brought forward the Settlements and Local Governance Act, which gave communities the right to control their destiny and increased the say of our citizens in their own affairs and the affairs of the neighborhoods they belong to.

So many reforms were pioneered by our administration back in 2020.

It is now time to dream big once more. It is time for us to draw inspiration from Bold Ideas, Real Change and to once again work together, as one, united Demarcia, to make a better place for all of us to live in, to work in, to thrive in.

And I am confident we can achieve that.

And I wholly place my faith in President Brandin to achieve that.
