Vincent_Wolff has resigned from the Cabinet of Demarcia and announced her decision to leave the Social Democratic Party, officially doing so shortly before her announcement, and also announced that she was joining the Demarcian National Party and running in that party's leadership election.

Vincent_Wolff explains her decision, stating that she has another point of view for what the Social Democrats stand for, and that she brought right-wing influence into the party but that the influence can not truly shine in a left-wing party like the SDP.

She hopes to win the DNP's leadership election and to lead the party in the country in what she described as a more "centre-right, mildly conservative" direction.

Speaker of the Parliament Penstubal has expressed his sadness at Vincent_Wolff's decision to leave her party, saying "it was wonderful working with her over the past year, and I wish her the best of luck in her political future". He then said that the Social Democratic Party "will persevere and continue defending the bold, progressive vision it stands for".

GeorgeChambers, the President of Demarcia and the SDP's Leader, has not yet reacted.
