The presidential election between JeskiaWeathers (DA) and Viscosity777 (CUP) is headed into a second round. Meanwhile, the parliamentary election resulted in a shocking supermajority for the CUP, despite Avantgardists winning more votes - due only to the fact that the two Avantgarde candidates, Penstubal and JeskiaWeathers, ran as part of two different lists.
Penstubal is reportedly "shocked" by the result and has had a hard time taking in what a "catastrophic miscalculation" he has made. He has urged the nation to vote for JeskiaWeathers to prevent the CUP from having full control over Parliament and Government.
If the second ballot of the presidential election remains inconclusive, the election heads to a vote among newly-elected Members of Parliament - in that scenario, it is almost certain that Viscosity777 will be elected President of Demarcia.
