TylerHarris, the brother of former opposition leader GeorgeHarris, has officially been elected leader of the Demarcian National Party in the run up to the May 2021 presidential and parliamentary elections. TylerHarris has finally ended the Demarcian National Party's nearly six month period in the darkness as a party without a leader, caused by the abrupt decision by former DNP leader MikeBodwin to leave the party and create his own back in October 2020.
TylerHarris has not yet responded to his victory in his party's leadership election, but congratulations have poured in from prominent Demarcian politicians, including Speaker of the Parliament Penstubal and Deputy Speaker SuperMiron.
In the meantime, MikeBodwin has declared his intention to run for President for the fourth time in a row. The former President, in spite of reports of growing interest in the Green Party's nomination among potential future party members, has decided to take matters into his own hands after all and to run for President himself, opting not to gamble with the party and its future.
