SuperMiron has been re-elected President of Demarcia in an election not contested by any other candidate. The Civic Unity Party won a parliamentary majority for the first time in any election contested against the Social Democratic Party, which suffered its worst result in history. The CUP won 75% of the vote and the SDP 25%; the turnout was 2.84% (4 votes).
Following his victory, the President "reaffirmed his commitment to fostering a spirit of bipartisanship and cooperation within our government", expressing his desire to maintain the bipartisan coalition government between the CUP and SDP.
The President also announced the establishment of the Presidential Commission on the Establishment of a Judiciary, chaired by Viscosity777, the Minister of Justice and Interior, who just got elected to Parliament as a member of the CUP's list, winning the most votes in the election. The Commission will comprise Minister Viscosity777 as well as individuals who have held the Presidency of Demarcia.
Penstubal, the Secretary of the SDP, congratulated the President on his victory and said he "looks forward to continuing the constructive cooperation between the SDP and CUP".
