SuperMiron has been elected President of Demarcia, winning 100% of the vote in an election in which he was up against nobody. The Social Democratic Party won a parliamentary majority for the first time since May 2023. The total number of votes was 5 and the turnout was 3.57%.

President-elect SuperMiron addressed the nation following his presidential election victory. He congratulated the Social Democratic Party on "winning a parliamentary majority for the tenth time", saying he is "more than willing to engage in a constructive cooperation with your leader, former President JeskiaWeathers, whom I'd also like to welcome back to the Parliament after nearly five months, as well as Speaker MikeBodwin of the Civic Unity Party, both of whom I'd like to invite for talks as soon as possible to form a new, bipartisan government".

The President-elect said that the circumstances that led him to run for the presidency "were indeed exceptional and, in many ways, dire", says he "accepted the call (...) to provide stability and guidance". He says that his focus is on "overcoming the issues that compelled me to step up". He expresses hope that "with collective effort, we can pave the way for new leaders to emerge and guide our country forward".

The President-elect conceded that "this victory is bittersweet. The circumstances and the fact that this marks my eighth term, albeit not consecutive, have dampened any enthusiasm. However, duty calls, and I remain steadfast in my commitment to serve Demarcia to the best of my ability. Let me assure you, it is not my ambition to be Demarcia's gravedigger. Thank you for your support, and let us face the challenges ahead with resilience and unity. Together, we can shape a brighter future for our beloved Demarcia."

Penstubal, the Secretary of the SDP and one of the country's three Members of Parliament, congratulated the President-elect on his victory, saying that "he looks forward to the formation of a coalition government which will, under the President's wise leadership and direction, restore normality in the country, bring us back to life and stop the country's descent into the abyss".

Penstubal also said that the government should hold thorough discussions in the coming weeks on what actions to take in order to revive activity. He believes that, as soon as the new government gets appointed, the Cabinet should meet - on Habboon - to toss around ideas for what to do about the country's activity crisis. He sees SuperMiron as one of the country's "last remaining hopes, and I'm not even familiar with any other".

JeskiaWeathers, the Leader of the SDP, expressed her hopes for working with the the new President on "getting engagement and new citizens", saying that "we been a ghost town for a while now, but we have this chance to bring back the old Demarcia, if Miron can't do it I'm afraid nobody can".
