President MikeBodwin clashed with the Leader of the Opposition Vincent_Wolff during parliamentary question time today, as the Leader of the Opposition Vincent_Wolff effectively accused the President of "support[ing] a blatant liar as his successor in the presidency", referring to the Green Party's new leader, DanielleOshana, who days earlier made unsubstantiated claims distorting Social Democratic politicians' voting records and accusing them, without evidence, of sexist comments in private.
President MikeBodwin defended himself and his party's presidential candidate against the accusations levied by the Leader of the Opposition, as well as deflected from the Leader of the Opposition's criticism, stating that what she has done is "not illegal" and that any criticism should be directed at her, and not towards him.
The Leader of the Opposition went further, stating that her attack was directed towards the President due to his being seen as a supporter of DanielleOshana, and said that "complete lies" and "making things out of complete [sic] air" is unacceptable and asked the President to state whether facts and the truth are important; the President agreed that they are but refused to distance from DanielleOshana and reaffirmed his support for her, despite publicly admitting that she lied.
The Social Democratic Party immediately started celebrating this moment as a "major victory" for the opposition. Sources from inside the party say that they are proud that they have given the President his greatest punch yet during this entire term, and that they have managed to put him and his party in a bad spot just two weeks before a crucial election.
