Penstubal Endorses Jake for President of Demarcia

Penstubal, the Secretary of the Social Democratic Party, has endorsed the independent Jake for President of Demarica.

In a lengthy statement, Penstubal expressed his belief that Jake would "do an outstanding job in power", calling him the only person in the country that "actually has ideas for how to fix the sad state our country is in thanks to MikeHawk and to months of chaos and division". Penstubal cited Jake's reform plans and lack of political affiliation as reasons for the endorsement.

Penstubal acknowledged Jake's lack of experience in Demarcia's political world, while expressing his belief that Jake would morph into a "truly extraordinary statesman" and that he would "do an excellent job if he is elected". Penstubal justified the endorsement, saying that he has been "sufficiently convinced that [Jake] cares about this country, has a plan and has thought it out thoroughly" while hoping he would not be proven wrong.

"I invite the whole country to join me in backing an independent, calm voice of change," Penstubal finished his statement, "This is the only person who can save our dear country that I'm sure we all love in our own diverse ways. Vote for Jake - and let's build a new Demarcia!"

This is the first major public endorsement of Jake's presidential candidacy. Sources tell the Inquirer that MikeBodwin likes Jake and his ideas, although he hasn't yet indicated whether he will or will not be running for President.
