The Social Democratic Party has won the December 2022 elections, and JeskiaWeathers been elected President, in an enormous landslide that has almost wiped the Civic Unity Party out of Parliament.

On election night, MikeBodwin, the incumbent President, congratulated JeskiaWeathers on her victory. Nevertheless, he has sought to reassure his party's members that the SDP will in due time pay for "stealing" the CUP's members.

"The CUP was heavily crippled by the fact that the SDP offered things to steal our members. It isn't the the fault of the SDP, it is the fault of those who were too untrustworthy and un-loyal [sic] to stay in what we were building", he said, "However, those members now fill the ranks of the SDP, and their immorality and lack of loyalty will cause them issues, as it already is with the divisions of the opinions within the party when it comes to certain policies."

Meanwhile, Penstubal, the Secretary of the Social Democratic Party, was boisterous and triumphant in his statement to the party's supporters.

"Fellow Demarcians, ladies and gentlemen, my comrades; the People's Party has won, the People's Party has triumphed, the People's Party is back and ready to serve!" he declared, "An unprecedented election result has put us in an incredible position. The Social Democratic Party has won both the presidential and parliamentary elections in a landslide - the latter gave us a majority we haven't seen since early 2021."

After a brief detour in which he mocked the fact that yet another MikeBodwin presidency ended in a cataclysm for his party, Penstubal extended his hand to the CUP, congratulated them on their fight and thanked them for respecting the election results. He added that it is important to remember that "the supporters of the CUP are Demarcian citizens too".

MikeBodwin is the only CUP member who has won a seat in Parliament; MarcelSakamoto, the party's leader and presidential candidate, has failed to win a seat.
