In private talks held in the Social Democratic Party's Committee Room, Penstubal (SDP), MikeBodwin (CUP) and JeskiaWeathers (SDP) have outlined their stances on several issues and reached agreement on some important matters, while some others remain unresolved.

The three have agreed that a sort-of "code" would be set up for communications between the military and Government officials, so that matters become clearer and less ambiguous and so that the military and Government can have proper, frank communications.

No agreement has been reached regarding the proposed impeachment of President JeskiaWeathers. Penstubal has reportedly stressed to MikeBodwin that the impeachment would taint the military's non-partisan reputation, but MikeBodwin has only said he would think about the issue after the talks.

The three have also agreed on appointing Examed (SDP) as ambassador to Hylix, given his conflict-resolving credentials acquired two days ago after talks with Hylix's leader.

Finally, MikeBodwin and Penstubal have managed to agree on a potential alternative to nuclear weapons, one that would quell most of Penstubal's concerns while satisfying what MikeBodwin feels are the needs of the military. The alternative has not been disclosed, but it has been agreed upon that it would be considered more thoroughly.

The two have also agreed on a "nuclear truce" to last until 1 February, during which the alternative would be researched and a potential replacement to the nuclear deterrent agreed upon. Penstubal has given indications that, if an agreement is not reached by then, the SDP might run on a platform of a complete repeal of the nuclear deterrent act at the next general election.

The talks lasted for exactly an hour and were reportedly difficult, tense and confrontational at times. Still, they have apparently been productive and some agreement on key issues has been found.
