The biggest crisis in Demarcia's political history deepens as chaos has ensued in one of the longest Parliament sessions in Demarcia's history, with tensions flaring, insults traded and shouting ensuing between all four present Members of Parliament.

The debate on the Early Election Act, proposed by embattled President JeskiaWeathers (SDP), seemed to last forever. Early on, Penstubal (SDP) expressed his backing for the motion, while MikeBodwin (CUP) stood opposed to it, despite a snap election possibly being in his interest given he's an opposition figure.

The session that was meant to be dedicated towards debating one piece of legislation concerning holding an early election was derailed and became a session in which Jeskia and MikeBodwin above all, but also Penstubal, would insult each other regarding the government's handling of the Hylix situation.

MikeBodwin attacked the President for her early election act, excoriating her for not resigning instead and for opposing her own impeachment. Penstubal went to great lengths to defend Jeskia, acknowledging her mistake in dealing with Hylix and calling it an "oopsie", while refusing to support her impeachment and instead calling merely for a motion to censure her.

Meanwhile, Jeskia defended herself extensively and reaffirmed her plans for her presidency, including the Weathers Betterment Project, which she described as above all an extensive infrastructure project.

Extensive fights took place between Penstubal and MikeBodwin, with Penstubal stating that he is "the one who knows how to speak to Mr. Bodwin in a language he understands". He accused him of being resentful because of his party's election loss in December and mocked his presidencies for always ending in electoral oblivion for the party he is member of.

In a confusing moment that was met with a negative comment from SuperMiron, Penstubal made the claim that "it was our choice to allow impeachment to be on the agenda in the first place". Later, Penstubal clarified that he meant that he could privately rally the party against impeachment to prevent it from being on the agenda, without any proof provided nor explanation for why he hasn't done that.

After a long while of brawling, the critical moment came: Penstubal proposed to end the debate and proceed straight to voting.

That's when Vincent_Wolff (SDP), the pro-impeachment maverick who hadn't stated her voting intention on the Early Election Act, made her move that stunned Penstubal and Jeskia. She voted against the motion to end the debate on the act.

A visibly aggrieved Penstubal asked of Vincent_Wolff to explain her vote; she refused to explain it and joked about the manner in which she had "voted against the act, refused to elaborate and left", in meme terms. Penstubal then frantically called another vote on ending the debate; this vote once again had the same result.

Penstubal and Jeskia saw clearly that the standoff was not going to be resolved; they had been defeated. The SDP's party secretary, dejected and beaten, proposed a motion to delay the Early Election Act, meaning no election can take place on 11 February.

MikeBodwin exploited to an unbelievable and unprecedented degree the divides within the SDP. During Question Time, MikeBodwin essentially said that Jeskia has lost control of her party and the country and should step aside.

"You should have passed [this bill], because you have the majority votes by four to one, I believe. This shows your party does not trust you, that you are not trusted, that they do not see you fit to lead. I believe you must step away from the Presidency and hand it over to who your party sees fit, or to who the country sees fit." said MikeBodwin in a ferocious statement.

The Parliament session had numerous dramatic moments and Members of Parliament were repeatedly reprimanded for disorderly conduct. MikeBodwin was warned once and Penstubal twice for endless heckling, which, in the latter's case, even included waving red cards at the main opposition politician.

Most notably, Examed (SDP) was warned after a tense standoff with MikeBodwin in which he called the latter a terrorist, upon being questioned about the same remarks he had made about President Jeskia just a few days ago. Reportedly, this standoff was preceded with Examed privately telling Penstubal he does not wish to answer any questions on the issue.

Examed and MikeBodwin fought after the session too, with Examed telling MikeBodwin to "quit worrying about the SDP affairs and worry about the Green Party", despite the Greens having been defunct for many months now. Meanwhile, MikeBodwin boasted of how he had "shredded into your little propaganda of 'we are so good'", stating that Jeskia "doesn't have a fiddle clue what she is doing in office" while acknowledging her kindness.

Tonight was one of the most dramatic, unstable nights that Demarcia had ever seen. Each session keeps getting more and more difficult. Demarcia is very visibly in a crisis, and it remains to be seen how this crisis will be resolved.
