Confusion as Brandin ‘Wrongly’ Declares Himself Prime Minister

Confusion has swept the Social Democratic Party and the whole nation as Brandin, the Mayor of Dodoville, seemingly randomly announced himself as President-elect JeskiaWeathers' prime ministerial pick, despite her not having announced her prime ministerial pick yet and despite it not being clear whether it will be Brandin.
At around 00:34 UTC, Brandin reported that he had been tapped by the President as the new Prime Minister; at around 2:04 UTC, Penstubal, the Secretary of the Social Democratic Party, objected to his statement and expressed his confusion. Finally, at around 4:33 UTC, JeskiaWeathers herself stated that she "has not announced her choice for Prime Minister at this time".
The sequence of events has baffled a nation which had only just decided to trust the Social Democratic Party yet again, and the events have cast doubts on the competence of the SDP to deliver in government. Already, the CUP has capitalized on the situation and has questioned the SDP's communicative abilities.
