Cabinet Members Desert PM Jake, Plan His Ouster on Thursday

Just five days into his premiership, Speaker MikeBodwin (CUP) and now-former Minister of Education and Culture Penstubal (SDP), the country's only two Members of Parliament and the only Cabinet members besides the independent Prime Minister Jake, have resigned from the Government and announced their plans to oust the Prime Minister in response to his broken promises about a Sunday event and subsequent failure to communicate with them.

A vote of no confidence in the Prime Minister is set to take place on Thursday at 19:00 UTC. If the vote passes, Prime Minister Jake will officially be removed from office and Speaker MikeBodwin will take his place as Acting President - due to President Chop's continued incapacity - and, as a result, become acting Prime Minister.

If dismissed, Jake will be the shortest-serving Prime Minister in Demarcian history.
