A massive earthquake is taking place on the Demarcian political scene, one that surely nobody had expected even mere days ago.

Action 2022 has been officially founded by Penstubal with Jeskia and Vincent_Wolff, and has swept the nation by storm. It has immediately surged in popularity and has now managed to secure an alliance with the Social Democratic Party and the Green Party - and might be on the verge of securing an alliance with the Demarcian National Party, in which case Demarcia would no longer have any opposition party.

Demarcian politics has been shattered - possibly for good. These events were anticipated by nobody merely days ago, not even the former president Penstubal, now rejoicing in celebration at the way things are unfolding.

"I did not see this coming", said Penstubal with a smarmy grin, "I mean, this is huge for Demarcia. It is huge for our country. It is an affirmation of the love, passion and respect people have for the Demarcian dream. And it really is the Demarcian dream, and this is what the party and the alliance are dedicated to: nourishing the talents and capabilities of our people and harnessing them for the betterment of our community"

Penstubal now reveals to the Demarcian Inquirer what exactly the plans are with regards to the alliance.

"The alliance will centre around Action 2022 and will focus on achievements for our people and an end to partisan squabbling, and instead finally getting to the bottom of what really matters; activity, activity, activity" he explains. "The action will be a radical coalition of all options desiring progress and change for Demarcia and willing to take bold measures, real action in order to secure it."

Penstubal has also revealed who the party will support as its presidential candidate.

"I expect Brandin to carry our ticket forward. I expect him to be elected President, and this time he will have a powerful guiding hand in Action 2022 that will guide him towards reason, unlike the way the government has performed up until now. The government, or rather pathetic attempt at one, following the last election was a disaster. Brandin had no idea what he was doing. He's still confused as hell, and I had always said that. But now we will take care of him, and he'll know where to go"

Penstubal has not offered an endorsement of any prime ministerial candidate.

"I don't know who the Prime Minister will be. That is what I will say. I don't see any reason for it not to be MikeBodwin again; I don't see any reason for it to be MikeBodwin again. Perhaps other things will happen. Some have talked about reforming the system entirely; some voices have called for two prime ministers! There will be a lot of discussion, and a lot of creativity. I believe that this will work out great."

Asked whether these moves are leading to a one-party system effectively without any opposition, similarly to the days of the old Demarcian Democratic Alliance (DDA), Penstubal strongly denied the suggestion.

"We are not introducing a one-party state. Let us make this clear. This is Demarcia, we are a free and democratic country, this is an alliance for progress and victory, for a better society. There will be an opposition. And there will be no uniformity. We will have vibrant, vigorous debate, and we will have a outspoken opposition to government policies. But it will be constructive, and all voices will have a say. As you can see, the Demarcian National Party, I disagree with a lot of what they advocate, and we will still disagree - but we are joining together for the benefit of our country and her people. And we will work constructively and unite to solve our problems, not battle amongst ourselves"

Penstubal has not revealed further details about the composition of the Government in terms of party distribution. Penstubal personally believes "it does not really matter".
