President MarcoDeVore Appoints SDP Government with nilah. as PM

President MarcoDeVore has appointed a Social Democratic Party government headed by nilah. as Prime Minister. The appointment was approved with three votes for to zero against and one abstention from Leader of the Opposition MikeBodwin.

In her first remarks after becoming Prime Minister, nilah. thanked the President for appointing her to the position and expressed that she was "looking forward to working with you and my colleagues to create a government that will have new bold ideas".

"My party (...) has achieved unity with our values," the PM said, "Our efforts will be put into elevating and upgrading our security forces, as well as focusing our efforts within our country's education, healthcare and infrastructure. I look forward to working with all of you as your new Prime Minister."

Penstubal, the new Speaker of the Parliament and Minister of Development and Finance, also congratulated the President and the Prime Minister.

"We will get to work as soon as possible on delivering the change the people need, and, my friends, there's a lot to do," said Penstubal. "MarcoDeVore won the election because he is a new kind of politician and I believe he will be a generational leader who will deliver real change (...) and he will be working in tandem with nilah., a fantastically talented woman, on so many great projects."
